For 20 years, he worked as a Senior Mix Engineer with Warner Music Production, developing an instinct for what makes a song connect—from the performance and arrangement to the smallest details of a finished mix. Along the way, he has worked as a producer, mix engineer, songwriter, vocal producer, multi-instrumentalist, and backing vocalist, bringing a hands-on understanding of nearly every part of the recording process.
That experience continues to shape the way he approaches music today. Whether he's writing a song, producing an artist, building a vocal, playing an instrument, or sitting behind the console, lonsway approaches the work first as a musician—with an ear for emotion, performance, and the story a song is trying to tell.

Alongside lonsway the artist, there were decades spent learning how records are made.
With 20 years as a Senior Mix Engineer for Warner Music Production, Mark has built a career on the other side of the glass—producing, mixing, engineering, writing, playing, and shaping performances from the first note to the final master.
His work has taken him from the studio to the road and back again. He has toured and performed guitar with artists including Terri Clark and Mickey Guyton, filled in on the road for Cassadee Pope, and contributed backing vocals for projects like Anne Wilson’s Rebel.
As a producer, Mark has worked with Casi Joy, Tommy O'Keefe, Grace Maher, Brittany Elise, and many, many other artists, while continuing to produce and engineer his own music.
Today, lonsway brings all of those experiences together. The songwriter, player, producer, engineer, and artist are all part of the same process—and every song starts with the same thing:
serving the story.

A great record starts with a great song—but getting from the first idea to the finished track takes more than a good song.
Mark works with artists to find what makes a song theirs, then builds the production around it. From arrangement and instrumentation to vocal production, recording, and the details that make a track feel alive, his approach is collaborative, intentional, and rooted in the song.

His 20 years as a Senior Mix Engineer with Warner Music Production shaped an instinctive approach to balance, tone, dynamics, and emotion—while years of playing, singing, and producing give him an understanding of what performers need from the other side of the console.
The goal isn't simply to make a song sound polished.
It's to make it feel like something.
The Musician
Mark's experience behind the console is inseparable from his experience onstage.
He's spent years playing guitar, singing, producing vocals, and performing alongside established artists—including touring with Terri Clark and Mickey Guyton and filling in for Cassadee Pope's touring guitarist.
He's also contributed backing vocals to countless artists including songs on Anne Wilson's Rebel and continues to bring guitar, vocals, and other instrumentation to the records he produces.
That musician's perspective informs everything he does in the studio.
